It was Prof Adi Ophir writing in the Being Human catalogue who thought Chris could paint souls, gods and angels, but Chris Gollon thinks if indeed it is possible, and Prof Ophir is right, then it may well be subconsciously.
Gollon has also put in there a reference to one of his favourite books ''The Golden Ass' by Apuleius, where a Roman man gets turned into an ass but after many a tale and an encounter is saved by Isis.
This painting is included in art historian Tamsin Pickeral's book 'CHRIS GOLLON: Humanity in Art' (published by Hyde & Hughes May 2010). It is currently on exhibition, price £10,000 (framed). For further information, please contact us.
