This work by Possible Mirror has been selected for this 'Emergence & transformation - Revisited', since its wonderful use of a simple, infinite and mysterious black (after Malevich) seems to make us doubly focus on what we wish to see reflected in the mirrored panels. This work perhaps reflects the limitations that lockdown imposed on us, yet it also challenges the spectator to carefully consider what he/she wants to see reflected in the two panels or mirrored glass, and to make the right choices for the present and the future.

In the exhibition's installation image, the curators chose an image of hope in Paul Hatton's candelabra, with lit candles a symbol of hope and love, as well as one of transformation in Chris Gollon's 'Woman with Curious Hairdo'; but the choices remain infinite in this beguilingly simple and challenging composition.

Possible Mirror’s carefully composed art-related works offer strikingly original focal points for any room in your home, and they are very collectable. They can also be specifically commissioned to be custom made in different colours or sizes, to suit both domestic and corporate spaces. Each mirror is handmade, stamped numbered and signed on the reverse. Please contact us for more details.
