Silvery and ever-changing in the light, moonstones have many associations with the moon. This beautiful gem also has a long history of use as a talisman for fertility, love, protection, and sleep. In Eastern moonstone symbolism, “lighted” gems, such as moonstone, indicated good luck. The ever-changing, white reflections on its surface–which gemologists call "adularescence"–in Eastern thought seemed to suggest a powerful, good spirit dwelled within.

Paul Hatton prefers never to make the same piece twice, so no two people have the same thing. However, if you would like this pendant, the same design can be commissioned again using either different precious metals; or simply different precious or semi-precious stones, to preserve the uniqueness of each piece. Please contact us to discuss options.
