Although an accomplished draughtsman, Chris Gollon did not do many drawings, they are quite rare in his oeuvre. He liked to go straight to canvas to get the images out of his head. However, this is an A4-size Indian ink drawing, which Chris produced when he was snowed in during the winter of 2010. Unable to get to his studio, he imagined an afternoon scene on a beach far away.
