Tamsin Pickeral

IAP Fine Art first met art historian and author Tamsin Pickeral when her bestselling book ‘THE DOG: 5,000 Years of the Dog in Art History’ was published (Merrell, New York & London, 2008). She had included Chris Gollon’s painting ‘Anubis & Charon’ in her critically acclaimed book on the history of canine imagery. She was very taken with Chris Gollon’s work and expressed a wish to be the first author and art historian to write a book on his life and work, which she did: ‘Chris Gollon: Humanity in Art' (Hyde & Hughes, 2010), endorsed by Bill Bryson OBE.  IAP helped her with the image archive and the book launch/exhibition in London. We have continued our association with Tamsin, since she is an excellent and insightful writer and art historian. She is one of the world’s foremost experts on Chris Gollon’s work, and we regularly commission texts for monographs and exhibition catalogues, some of which can be found here: Gallery Shop.
