Unique mirror. Size: 120 x 54 x 2.5 cm (mirror size: 77 x 49.5 cm), weight: 7 kg. Stamped, signed and dated on the reverse.

This unique mirror was inspired by the plant drawings of the American artist Ellsworth Kelly (1923 – 2015). The frame was handmade in walnut and painted wood and has four original pencil drawings in the top section. These drawings are free transcriptions, based on Kelly’s work, on coloured Fabriano acid-free paper. They are box framed behind museum grade glass fitted with a green spacer made from museum grade cotton rag card.

The stripes on the top and bottom panel are hand painted using colours from the Farrow and Ball range: Vardo and Pelt on the former, with the addition of Yeabridge Green and India Yellow for the latter.

The mirror is 4mm thick, has polished edges and is feather floated in the central tray section of the composite frame. This mirror has an integral split batten for secure, flush wall hanging.
