by Chris Gollon
This print is one of the two very first editions of etchings Chris Gollon made in his life. This is ‘The Whisper (I)’ an etching with aquatint Chris Gollon produced at the Glasgow Print Studio in 1996, whilst working with master printmaker Murray Robertson. The image was concurrent with Gollon’s acclaimed Road to Narragonia series of paintings, some of which were shown at the Glasgow Art Fair in the same year. ‘The Whisper (II)’ was slightly smaller and a hand-coloured edition of only 20. The two images are mentioned in the biography ‘Chris Gollon: Humanity in Art’ by art historian Tamsin Pickeral (Hyde & Hughes), endorsed by Bill Bryson OBE. Unframed price is shown. If you wish to purchase a framed print, framing is charged separately. Please contact us for further information.
